This guideline serves as a basis for the assessment and certification of specialists who work in various welding processes in the field of plastics. The revision ensures that the welders' qualifications meet the latest technological and safety requirements. The guideline introduces several new examination groups to meet the different requirements and complexities of the welding processes. The introduction of these new test groups is intended to ensure that welders are fully prepared for the specific challenges of the respective welding processes. Targeted testing and certification increases the quality and safety of welding work, which is of great benefit to both the end user and industry.
The revision of DVS 2212-1 and the introduction of the new test groups was a necessary step to improve quality and safety in the field of plastic welding technology. SKZ is looking forward to implementing these new standards in the training and testing of plastic welders and to raising the qualification of skilled workers to a new level.
