The testing of sports products is an essential part of sports science and the sports industry, as it directly influences the safety, performance and durability of the materials used. The demands on products from the sports sector are high, as they not only have to withstand the stresses and strains of athletes, but also have to meet specific standards in terms of play behavior, risk of injury and environmental impact. In this context, testing methods and standards are essential to ensure that the products meet both the demands of the athletes and the applicable safety regulations.
Among other things, we test table tennis equipment such as balls and bats. We work together with the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and are officially recognized as a testing body.
In the sports sector, we also test ball impact resistance in accordance with DIN 18032-3 on ceiling, wall and installation elements for sports halls (e.g. wall and ceiling cladding, doors, windows, lights, switches, etc.) in our accredited test laboratory. Balls for a wide variety of sports such as basketball, fistball, soccer or field hockey and even medicine balls are tested.
All ball tests are carried out in accordance with the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Manual M3. In all tests, series of 24 table tennis balls are tested.
