Defects cost the company time and money. That is why it is important to support the employees` possibility of detecting defects and eliminating them while at the same time strengthening everyone`s understanding of the limits on the elimination of defects and the consequences of their occurrence.
- Potential causes of defects – The 4-M-approach
- Causes: machine setting, mold, material, machine
- Surface defects: jetting, flash, sink marks, etc.
- Shrinkage and warpage
- Influences, PVT behavior of plastics
- Causes of warpage, potential counter-measures
- Trial plans and experimental methods
- Influence of the holding pressure and the mold temperature on weight, shrinkage and warpage
- Determination of defects using sample parts
