Increasing demands on the durability of materials and components, new materials and technological progress require the continuous development of test methods. The SKZ Plastics Center Symposium, which has been held since 1993, is the most important German-language forum on the weathering of plastics. This year's event will again be held in Würzburg.

The SKZ Plastics Center invites you to a two-day symposium on "Weathering of Plastics" at its model factory in Würzburg. The event will take place from April 16th to 17th and promises a comprehensive program with top-class speakers and informative discussions.
A key issue for the plastics industry
The weathering of plastics is a key issue in the plastics industry, as it plays a critical role in estimating the service life and therefore the quality and performance of plastic products. The symposium will therefore provide a unique opportunity for experts, researchers and industry representatives to exchange information on the latest developments, research findings and best practices in the field of plastics weathering.
Andreas Riedl takes over as technical director
Andreas Riedl of ATLAS Material Testing Technology GmbH, a recognized expert in the field of testing methods, will be the technical director of the event. "With the technical support of Mr. Riedl, we have been able to put together a great program again this year, including informative presentations on weathering, aging and stabilizer technologies, standardization and climate change," says André Gstrein, Product Manager at SKZ.
Evening event planned
The agenda includes lectures and presentations that will allow for the exchange and discussion of various topics related to the weathering of plastics, including weathering effects, degradation of plastics, test methods, and innovative solutions to current problems. In addition, at the end of the first day, an evening event is planned at the Brauergasthof Alter Kranen in Würzburg, which will provide an opportunity for informal discussions with experts outside of the lectures.
Concentrated know-how
Representatives of the plastics industry, research institutes, scientists and all interested parties are cordially invited to attend this important symposium and benefit from the combined know-how of the experts.
