Specialized course funding from the state of Baden-Württemberg: Companies save up to 70 percent when booking SKZ courses

Employers can have up to 70 percent of the cost of SKZ courses subsidized for their employees who live or work in Baden-Württemberg. This is an ideal way to train existing employees and make them fit for new tasks at minimal cost in times of skilled labor shortages.

The SKZ Plastics Center is a recognized training center for the ESF vocational training program of the state of Baden-Württemberg

At a time when there is a shortage of skilled workers, vocational training and continuing education are of great importance. A variety of funding programs are available to help companies train their employees or upgrade their skills.

Making regional funding pools accessible to potential customers
The SKZ Plastics Center, headquartered in Würzburg, is represented throughout Germany with training facilities at its various locations in Horb am Neckar, Halle a.d.S., Peine and Selb. One of SKZ's goals is to make regional funding available to potential customers. A particularly attractive funding program is currently offered by the state of Baden-Württemberg. It is financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) and provides a minimum of 30 percent and a maximum of 70 percent of the cost of professional training. The only condition is that the main place of employment or residence must be in Baden-Württemberg.

Funding increases with the age of the participant
The SKZ, for example, receives 30 percent of the costs from the state and passes on 100 percent of this cost advantage directly to its customers, so that the participation price for the training is reduced accordingly. For participants who are over 55 years old or do not have a vocational qualification, the subsidy increases to 70 percent.

"A sensible way for companies to save costs".
"Many of our customers in Horb have already used this funding in the past to significantly reduce their training costs. By increasing the funding rates in the current funding period, the state is taking into account the increasing shortage of skilled workers," said Jürgen Kern, SKZ site manager in Horb am Neckar. "We are pleased to be able to offer our customers this attractive financing instrument on a larger scale. According to Kern, this is a sensible way for companies to save costs without having to do without employee training - and with minimal application effort.

By the way: Participation in training courses in Würzburg or at another SKZ location can also be funded - provided that the company is based or lives in Baden-Württemberg.
