SKZ drives development of specific test methods for plastic pipe systems
Christian Winkler, Group Leader for Pipe Systems at the SKZ Plastics Center, was appointed Convenor of the ISO/TC138 SC1 WG6 working group on January 17, 2024. In his new role, Christian Winkler will make a significant contribution to shaping and further developing the standards for testing in the field of wastewater pipe systems.

The appointment of Christian Winkler as Convenor is an important step for the SKZ and underlines the outstanding expertise he brings to the plastics industry and in particular to the drainage pipe sector. As Convenor of ISO/TC138 SC1 WG6 ("Specific test methods for soil, waste and drainage plastic piping systems"), Christian Winkler will play a central role in the development of specific test methods for plastic piping systems.
Participation in the development of international standards
The SKZ sees the appointment of Christian Winkler as a strategically important measure to further promote standards in the field of wastewater pipes. By leading this working group, SKZ can actively participate in the development of internationally recognized standards and thus promote the quality and safety of plastic pipe systems in global markets.
