The topic of fuel cells and batteries is increasingly becoming the focus of public discussion. As a result, their further development plays a central role in the energy transition. In cooperation with the Center for Fuel Cell Technology (ZBT), the SKZ Plastics Center will present technical topics and details at the two-day symposium. symposium and present innovative solutions for plastics.

This year's symposium "Plastics for Fuel Cells and Modern Battery Technology" will take place from November 21 to 22, 2023, in the Mercatorhalle in Duisburg and will feature numerous interesting technical presentations by renowned speakers.
The conference will be chaired by Dr. Marco Grundler, who has his finger on the pulse of the industry as head of the Materials & Compounding Technology group at the ZBT. Thanks to Dr. Grundler's profound expertise, attendees can expect an excellent program again this year.
"Saving surpluses for the winter".
The energy revolution is underway. The transition to clean energy sources is progressing. But renewable energy is not always available. "We need batteries for the next windless nights and hydrogen from electrolysers to preserve the surpluses for the winter," writes Dr. Grundler in his introduction to the symposium.
Speakers from science and industry
What technological and infrastructural details need to be clarified in order to implement the hydrogen strategy and the energy transition? What role can innovative plastics play in this development? What properties will new materials bring? These are just some of the questions that the speakers from industry and science will address over two days in a constructive, solution-oriented and competent manner.
The conference will be accompanied by a tour of the fuel cell laboratories and pilot plant of the ZBT Duisburg and a networking evening on November 21 at the Webster Brauhaus.
