In cooperation with its network partner, LIVARSA GmbH, SKZ Plastics Center has made significant progress in implementing its SKZ Strategy 2025 goals. This partnership has achieved an impressive 4.7% reduction in electrical losses, an expected CO₂ saving of 53 tons per year and an expected saving of 127,000 kWh per year. Actual savings in the first year, 2022, were more than 135,000 kWh and nearly 69 tons of CO₂.

Thanks to the CO₂ savings, SKZ, a leader in the testing, certification and monitoring of plastics, is one step closer to its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2025. The challenge of this project was to install the efficiency filter during operation, without interrupting the power supply or shutting down the plant. This condition required innovative solutions and technical expertise to make the project a success.
Seamless integration of new system
Thanks to clever and carefully planned switching operations of the two transformers connected in parallel and a precise sequence of installation steps, the new system was seamlessly integrated without interrupting the power supply. This approach is a testament to the technical excellence and commitment of the SKZ team and LIVARSA GmbH.
Achieving common goals in energy efficiency and environmental protection
This partnership between SKZ and LIVARSA GmbH is an example of the benefits of companies working together in a large network to achieve common goals in energy efficiency and environmental protection. SKZ remains committed to its goals and will continue to strive to develop innovative solutions that have a positive impact on the environment.
