Almost all processing companies in the plastics industry are facing the same challenge - recruiting suitable and well-qualified specialists. aquatherm, the global market leader for plastic piping systems made of polypropylene for plant construction and building services, is also confronted with the challenges of these developments.
Actively counteracting the shortage of skilled workers
This makes proactive and continuous training and further education of existing employees all the more important in order to ensure constant improvement and adaptation to further developments. "We are pleased that aquatherm has always recognized the value of further training with regard to the sustainable further qualification of employees and is actively committed to the further training of employees. Together, we were able to develop an individual training concept for the extrusion sector that was tailored to the technical needs of the participants," says Andreas Büttner, Group Manager Education and Technical Center in the Materials, Compounding and Extrusion division at SKZ.
Company launches further training initiative for new specialists with SKZ
"The premium partner selection includes companies that tackle problems and issues together with us and solve them with an innovative approach. Together with aquatherm GmbH, we have succeeded in sustainably consolidating further training and thus raising the expertise of our employees to a new level. Ultimately, together we are taking the plastics industry a decisive step forward," reports Matthias Ruff, Sales Manager Education & Research at SKZ in Würzburg.
"We pursue a sustainable and holistic training approach. The SKZ has responded well to our needs with tailor-made training courses. This individual approach ensures that our employees not only benefit professionally, but also enjoy participating in the training courses. This motivates them to continuously develop themselves further and fully exploit their potential - and has a positive effect on their long-term loyalty to aquatherm," says Sarah Schulte, Chief Human Resources Officer at aquatherm GmbH.
As a pipe manufacturer with its unique production technologies, aquatherm is a pioneer of its time and of what it does. At the same time, the company stands for family-like closeness, respectful, appreciative cooperation and encounters at eye level. This meant that the training courses could also be held in a pleasant atmosphere, which quickly resulted in positive learning outcomes. "The employees were able to quickly apply the knowledge they had acquired in their day-to-day work and develop a better understanding of the production process. Solution-oriented action when errors occur leads to rapid rectification, whereby the company also contributes to a more sustainable use of raw materials," concludes Christian Emmerling, Senior Trainer in the area of materials, compounding and extrusion at SKZ.
