ALKOBLAN PIPES, an established manufacturer of PPR pipes and fittings for over 30 years, offers a wide range of plastic pipe solutions used primarily in the water supply industry. The company has continuously expanded its production capabilities to meet industry demands and growing expectations. By partnering with SKZ, ALKOBLAN benefits from the globally recognized SKZ quality mark, which underlines the reliability and quality of products. The partnership with SKZ began in spring 2024 with an approval audit that focused on compliance with high quality and safety standards.
Quality control is crucial for high standards
“The cooperation with SKZ is an important step for us in establishing our products internationally as quality solutions and further strengthening trust in us,” explains Abdullelah Abdulaal, R&D Manager at ALKOBLAN PIPES. During a visit by Jochen Wissgott, an expert from SKZ's pipe systems department, ALKOBLAN's factory production control requirements were thoroughly reviewed. Particular attention was paid to hygienic quality aspects to ensure that raw materials and end products are protected from contamination. This quality control is crucial to the high standards that ALKOBLAN and SKZ want to ensure together.
Improving the product portfolio
With this partnership, ALKOBLAN and SKZ are aiming for a long-term and successful collaboration. The SKZ certification not only enables ALKOBLAN to remain at the forefront of industry standards and quality requirements, but also to further improve its product portfolio and open up new markets worldwide. “Quality assurance of plastic pipe systems used for the transport of drinking water and other liquids and gases under pressure is essential to ensure safety, durability, compliance with standards and cost-effectiveness. It minimizes risks, protects the environment and ensures that the pipes reliably fulfill their function over their planned service life,” concludes Jochen Wissgott.
