SKZ is taking delivery of a new Arburg Allrounder 520 A injection molding machine. This means that state-of-the-art equipment will continue to be available for injection molding training courses at SKZ in Peine. The new addition to the technical lab has a fully electric drive and can process both thermosets and thermoplastics.

The digital equipment in German schools in particular is currently the subject of much criticism. They are lagging far behind the EU average. Yet the equipment is an important basis for learning. In the current phase of a shortage of skilled workers, it is important to work with state-of-the-art technology. In order to avoid similar equipment deficits in adult education, the SKZ strives to keep its machinery up to date. The new Allrounder 520 A from Arburg comes with a fully electric drive, the aXw Control ReferencePilot control feature, an internal pressure-based process control system for precisely reproducible cavity pressure and is equipped with all the assistance packages from Arburg.
In the educational sector, the machine is used in practical training courses for the injection molding of thermoplastics and thermosets. It is also used for the school lab, which has been successfully held in Peine since November 2021. "We would like to thank the Arburg company for its support and are pleased to be able to use it to offer our participants courses at a very high technical level," says Benjamin Baudrit, Deputy Managing Director Education and Research at SKZ.
