"The world is in flux: energy crisis, difficulties with supply chains, drop in orders, price increases, recession, finding new sales markets - we are all facing enormous challenges," says Bettina Dempewolf, Head of Network and Event at SKZ. "That's the reason why the topics of energy management, circular economy, climate protection and digitalization play a major role at the SKZ symposia. Be it at the Fuel Cell Conference, the Plastics Quality Summit, the Films + Vehicle / Plastic Films in Mobility symposium or even the E&E Congress."

Many exhibitors have benefited from the major SKZ networking events and conferences this year. At this year's SKZ Networking Day and SKZ Technology Day alone, more than 600 participants came together and benefited from the various networking opportunities and discussions among experts and plastics colleagues.
"SKZ is a trailblazer for the plastics industry and always strives to address current challenges in order to offer our customers and partners possible solutions at an early stage, so that you yourself can innovate and have a knowledge advantage over your competitors," says Dempewolf. Together with her team, she is responsible for the SKZ specialist conferences.

The SKZ also focuses on trend topics in its continuing education program. For example, in the SKZ course "Design for Additive Manufacturing" (optionally online or in presence), participants learn the basics of selected processes and their plastic-based model materials from 3D printing experts in three days. Furthermore, valid design rules and possibilities are taught in each case in order to implement ideas additively. A major challenge is also the gas and resulting energy crisis, which brings the topic of energy saving in the plastics industry into focus. Here, it is important to sensitize and qualify employees. This is clearly illustrated in the online course "Energy efficiency in injection molding". The SKZ portfolio also includes suitable courses for the plastics industry on the topics of recycling and circular economy.

The K trade fair offers the ideal platform to meet SKZ experts and trainers and talk about a sustainable continuing education plan in the trend topics. The SKZ can be found in hall 10, booth G09.
