As in previous years, this year the SKZ is again retroactively awarding the “Premium Partner” award for 2024 to companies that work together with the Plastics Center to advance the plastics industry.

The two partners SKZ and REHAU have continuously expanded their cooperation on the topic of sustainability in recent years. Whether in the establishment of the KARE competence center, which aims to promote the transformation to a circular economy from the perspective of labor research, the preparation of corporate CO2 balances, the evaluation in the context of the EU taxonomy or the preparation of environmental product declarations. REHAU and the SKZ's Sustainability and Circular Economy department have joined forces on all of these topics.
Dr. Hermann Achenbach, Division Manager at SKZ: “We know that the topic of sustainable transformation is high on the agenda at REHAU. This means that new issues are constantly arising in our meetings, which the experts in our field are happy to address in order to jointly identify solutions for greater sustainability and the circular economy.”
A collaboration that drives the plastics industry forward
“Companies are selected as premium partners if they tackle problems and issues together with us and solve them with an innovative and sustainable approach. In the case of the award for REHAU, the focus is clearly on the company's sustainable orientation and the products and services it offers,” reports Matthias Ruff, Head of Sales Education & Research at SKZ in Würzburg.
“The path to a sustainable transformation cannot be achieved alone. We are therefore combining our many years of expertise in the polymer sector with the know-how of external partners in order to make a difference together and continuously develop ourselves further,” emphasizes Andreas Jenne, Sustainability Officer at REHAU Industries.
Rehau and SKZ are working together to make the plastics industry more sustainable and equipped for the demands of the future. A task that the companies are actively driving forward together.
