The Würzburg Plastic Pipe Conference 2024 is fast approaching and promises an exciting program of cutting-edge topics and renowned experts from the plastic pipe industry. The conference will be held on June 18-19, 2024 in Veitshöchheim near Würzburg and will bring together leading minds from industry, research and regulation to discuss the latest developments, challenges and opportunities in this important sector.

For many years, the Würzburg Plastic Pipe Conference has been established as the annual meeting place for the industry to discuss all aspects of pipe systems. In addition to an always up-to-date lecture program, participants can expect an accompanying trade exhibition and plenty of time for exchange and networking. The two-day program of the Kunststoff-Zentrum SKZ, which was developed in close cooperation with the Rohrleitungsbauverband rbv e.V. and the KRV Kunststoffrohrverband e.V., offers a wide range of lectures, discussions and exchange opportunities on various key topics of the plastic pipe industry. Topics on plastic materials and welding processes will alternate with general infrastructure topics.
Conference also serves to expand GW 331 / Welding Supervision
For example, a presentation entitled "Würzburg's way to heat planning" will illustrate the perspective of a municipal utility. Presentations on welding challenges will highlight the perspective of pipeline construction. On the second day of the conference, several presentations will discuss the major challenges related to material flows and sustainability. The conference offers a complete insight into the world of plastic pipe and all the current challenges. For this reason, the extension of the GW 331 / Welding Supervision - upon presentation of a valid inspection certificate - is also confirmed for participation in the complete program.
SKZ responds to the demands of previous years
This year's conference will take place in the Mainfrankensäle in Veitshöchheim and, as usual, will be accompanied by a trade exhibition where attendees can learn about new products and deepen their knowledge of specific topics. "This year, we have placed a stronger focus on important infrastructure topics such as district heating and fiber-optic expansion, and we have also dedicated an entire morning to the topic of recycling management. We are thus responding to the wishes of participants from previous years and are once again looking forward to numerous interested visitors and good discussions," says Nathalie Spiegel, Product Manager at SKZ.
